EKAS'LAM 101: DOUBLE G(AMSTERDAM)



Georgios Lazakis, born June 15 1985 in Gorinchem, better known by his stagename Double G, is a Greek MC and producer. He performs his 'Life Story' with his band The Ouzo Family. He is one of The Devastators, a hiphop group based in Gorinchem and one of the MC's of Kyteman's Hip Hop Orchestra.

The Devastators were awarded with the 'Rock Around The World Prize' in 2007 and did a tour in South Africa and Lesotho.

Kyteman's Hip Hop Orchestra was awarded the Dutch Pop Prize 2009 (January 2010), the 3FM Award for 'Best Live Act" (March 2010) and the "Edison" Music Prize for Best Group (October 2010). Kyteman's debut album "The Hermit Sessions" went platinum, selling over 75.000 albums. Double G featured on 'U-town University'.

Double G's debut album Life Story was released @ 12 October 2012.
The album features tracks with Kyteman, Outlawz, Termanology, Gery Mendes, Reks, and many more.

Double G also made an entire mini movie to his 'Life Story', directed by Smokin'Dog. This video is actually 3 chapters compiled into one,
www.getyourbuzzup.com reviewed it as 'absolute brilliance'. The first chapter was shot in Paris, France. 'Greek History' is the 2nd sequel. The trilogy ends with 'Nightmare' featuring Kyteman.
