IMPANDE CORE: THE BAND, PROFILE.

Impande Core the name says it all the core of the root. The band is made up of various talents who all hail from Ekurhuleni in the Eastrand. The Band was established in 2004. What makes us such a unique band is our abstract yet easy on the ear type of sound, our compositions are catchy, lyrical, soulful and raw in sound. We have accomplished a lot and have gained popularity with the locals because of our electrifying stage presence.

Impande as we are often called, have had our fair share of upheaval disasters but what makes us so professional in this field of work is our acceptance to the difficulties that come with the entertainment industry and our passion and resilience. There are a countless number of bands that would jump at the pleasure of opening for some of South Africa’s musicians. Impande Core had the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of internationally acclaimed Blk Jks, Sibongile Khumalo, Judith Siphuma and songstress Simphiwe Dana. Impande Core launched our first music video in 2009 for their hit single “ What about you “ the song was so big it even made it on the air waves and was part of the playlist of Johannesburg well acclaimed radio station Khaya Fm. This goes to show that Impande has done great during our past years of recording. The band still continues to do well and gracing the big stages as Oppiekoppie and Soweto street pop. Its been a very productive 9 years and the band is still highly in demand. The boys have been asked what the future holds and their response was “ Impande Core namanje joe” which simply means that they will continue in our quest for making a success in our music career, we are working on a album which is in demand and are promising to give out good music and go far as international. We certainly hope to see ourselves receiving a prestigious award in the near future for our outstanding work and commitment to our craft.
